Description
After a twelve and a half kilometre walk from Bellevue-la-Montagne along the GR765O, I stopped for a coffee and croissant, as is my habit. Intending to leave the little town of Saint-Paulien, I walked toward the L’eglise Saint-George but when I got there was transfixed by the ornate and almost Moorish designs decorating the outside. The pattina of the stonework was magical and I sat at a table outside the tourist office in the shade for an hour to capture what has become one of the most popular sketches of the trip.
