Description
Pasai Donibane is the first town you reach after leaving Irun on the Camino del Norte. Tightly packed, multi-storey Basque architecture overlooks the cruise and cargo ships entering and exiting the harbour. To get to the other side, pilgrims must take a small water-taxi. It was washing day on the Santiago Plaza and the sheets waved as we lurched across the water to make our way to take up the yellow-arrow decorated path to Donostia/San Sebastian in the afternoon.
